Best Abs Diet For Women

As I suspect you know protein is the key to building muscle, but just how much protein should you include in your abs diet for a woman?  Are you able to include other foods within your abs diet?  These are two of the most commonly asked questions about finding the best abs diet for women, when trying to build a great six pack.

In reality a  woman’s abs diet is not really that different to a mans abs diet in content, it is more the quantity which can vary dependant on your own body size.

An abs diet for women should still consist of a range of quality high protein foods – after all this is the most basic rule in building muscle.  A woman will eat less protein than a man following an abs diet, but the actual menu content will be quite similar.

An examples of  some foods in an abs diet for a woman are plenty of lean meats, especially turkey and chicken, plenty of fish, milk, eggs,  protein drinks and protein bars (with protein bars try and avoid those that contain high amounts of sugar).

As well as the proteins and other foods mentioned, you will also need to include plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit.  You should also aim to avoid fatty foods, as well as junk foods, extra greasy foods, and take outs.

Carbohydrates are still essential in an abs diet., but try and keep to high fiber, wholemeal varieties wherever you can.  Wholemeal is not only better for you, but I think it tastes better than its white equivalent.   Other carbohydrates for a woman will include potatoes, oatmeal, brown rice, high fiber cereals and bread.

It is better to eat smaller meals often, rather than try and eat large amounts of food in one go.  This method will help you not to feel bloated and also help your metabolic rate.

Don’t forget an abs diet is only part of the story, you need to follow an exercise routine specially for building abs.
